Check your tools before publishing

Paste a toolset.yml to check its YAML, strict schema, semantic version, tool IDs, and Liquid response templates. Validation runs entirely in your browser.

Nothing you paste is uploaded or stored.

Validated as you type using the same rules as catalog indexing.

Validate from an agent or CI

Send a manifest to POST /api/captain/tools/validate. The endpoint runs the same schema, placeholder, and Liquid checks as this editor and catalog indexing.

Request

Raw YAML, or JSON containing a string manifest field.

Response

A valid flag, the parsed manifest data, issues, and source diagnostics.

Limits

Requests are limited to 256 KiB and are never cached.

Validate toolset.yml
curl -X POST https://www.chatwoot.com/api/captain/tools/validate \
  -H 'Content-Type: application/yaml' \
  --data-binary @toolset.yml

Ready to share your tools?

Once the manifest is valid, open a pull request against chatwoot/tools and the Chatwoot team reviews it.
